Let me Love of my life

Poesía pura

Ricardo Martínez García

Zealand filmmaker Oscar winner for best screenplay in 1993 for The Piano, Jane Campion, delivers a moving ribbon of time, beautifully achieved, which tells the story of love between the poet John Keats and Miss Fanny Brawne and named one of his poems: Bright Star (08), aptly subtitled as El Amor de mi Vida .

The story introduces the viewer gradually the feelings of Miss Fanny (Abbie Cornish) and the young poet John Keats (Ben Wishaw), in the manner in which they are falling in love and sweet and great passion, and how her family sees the transition of this love.

John Keats is considered one of the English poets most representative and important of the early nineteenth century Romantic movement in Great Britain. Poet who was not alive the recognition of his work, he lived largely at the expense of his friend and patron Charles Armitage Brown, a relationship that Campion tape is presented as a contrast to that of Miss Brawn.

handling of narrative pace, the scenery and the actors is a work of art crescendo that climaxes with the death of the poet. Without false sentimentality, the film moves the viewer sensitive enough to capture in this simple story of an almost Platonic, and that scandalized Victorian society of his time, the published correspondence, the couple kept the greatness and the tragic love story that took place between this extraordinary poet and the no less extraordinary Fanny Brawn. Do not stop watching it.
