Whats Alyssa Millano Look Like These Days?

Thor

The eternal drama of the possession of power

Ricardo Martínez García

Natalie Portman has said he decided to participate in the new film produced by Marvel Comics Thor (2011) because the director would be Kenneth Branagh. Known as an actor and director who specializes in works of Shakespeare (from 23 years has been a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company), as well as Emma Thompson's ex-husband (they were known as Ken and Em, the royal couple of British cinema) , with shares as an actor in several popular movies both Shakespearean and commercial court - Much Ado About Nothing , Hamlet, Frankenstein , Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - and award-winning stage actor (with a play by David Mamet , Edmond ).

With this curriculum behind, Branagh presents his new film Thor in which there are two movies in one. The first, which narrates the adventures mythological Thor (Chris Hemsworth), god of thunder, son of Odin, that really mythical god revered by the ancient Germanic tribes in their path to power his real father (Anthony Hopkins), but that is complicated because it must be "worthy of power" even to possess the powerful hammer called Mjolnir. This part of the film is reminiscent of works such as Hamlet and Richard III, it shows some fickle gods, too human, with jealousies and passions, like the mythological Greek gods. The second film is set in the present life, to astrophysics Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) to the brink of a discovery along with his colleague, Professor Andrews (Stellan Skarsgard) and his assistant, Darcy (Kat Dennings), but they are overwhelmed by the American national security forces, who do not understand is to be born a new superhero.

Taken separately, these two parts of the film are interesting and well made, but being mixed lose some credibility. For example, why the gods need a machine-destructing-to move from side to side? Or are they gods or are scientifically advanced (or will in the end are the same?). But it is a constant in some of these movies based on comics play the game of imagination that allows some concessions to the laws of nature in these films also can not miss the cameo by Stan Lee. Branagh manages to give it a good pace and drama to the tape, without neglecting the special effects that are the hallmarks of the Marvel movies.
